Diamonds are a girl's best friend -Marilyn Monroe

Miss ChaCha in full swing.
Go Tiered or go home, tiered dresses are definitely a must have for this spring.

Now she warned us all to prepare to gag on her Eleganza, and oh dahlin's did I ever! Last week I went to see Diva Extraordinaire Chacha perform live at After Bar in Seoul.

For a lack of a more fabulous word I was going to say that I went to a drag performance and that had me thinking why is it called a drag show when the word drag is synonymous with the words reluctant, difficult etc. There was absolutely nothing "draggy" (as it used in the dictionary) about her show. After some research I've found that the etymology of the term "drag" is disputed. It is said that it was used in reference to transvestites as early as the 18th century, owing to the tendency of their skirts to drag on the ground. That is only one reason. Maybe ChaCha can explain it to me.

ChaCha looked absolutely fabulous, it was glamour galore. She was frosted in diamonds, my favorite was ofcourse the stunning headpiece and the tiered dress that she wore in her second performance.  ChaCha is a friend of mine who is charming, elegant, glamorous, outgoing and yet so laid back and did I mention those fine legs. ChaCha is also a professional Latin American dancer who has been leaving crowds in awe all over the world for a fabulous 13 years! More about the show, well I was like a little girl in Barbie doll concept store, excited, exhilarated... I hung on every word that ChaCha sang, I cannot begin to explain how I felt when she started performing! I remember looking over to Chesna, and she had the exact twinkle in her eye that I was feeling and I said to her when I die and come back I want to be her on the stage of the world! That being said, ChaCha says and I will quote :

" A wise woman once told me that people will forget what you say or do, but they will never forget how you made them feel. That essentially is the reason why I do what I do, not only with drag, but in every facet of my life. With drag it's just so much fun!"

ChaCha I really won't forget how I felt. En jy move, move, move....kan nie wag vir die volgende show nie..

In her second performance ChaCha sang Last Dance by Donna Summer
Rupaul : "We all came into the world Naked. The rest is all Drag"
